I don’t normally blog about movies, etc. but this one (or the original, I guess) holds a special place in heart. TRON has been a big deal for me since I was a kid.. both technologically (the dreams I had of what was possible) and visually..

For my next adventure, I’ll be taking the role of Senior Software Engineer, UI at Kace, and I couldn’t be more excited!  They’ve got a great set of products and some even better stuff in the pipeline.

Also, it was announced today that Dell has purchased Kace!  So, ACTUALLY, I’ll be taking a job at Dell, which is really cool as well!

B Mace just put a new portfolio, you should go check it out, because he’s REALLY good at what he does.

Also, he sent me an article called “The Way I Work: Jason Fried of 37Signals” which show Jason Fried’s approach to his work day..  It’s inspiring and makes a lot of sense… if only more business owners would follow suit.

Recently, we released 1.1 which addressed most of those issues, but people still weren’t happy with the controls. SO, after some time put in specifically rewriting the control code, 1.2 is live, and it makes a HUGE difference in the control you have over the falling pill :)

We really hope the users like the changes, and hopefully will continue to give us feedback..

We’ve got several new features in store for Flu Fighter still , so keep an eye out!

I’m the VP and senior developer at BFG Interactive, the interactive division of BFG Communications, and we just recently launched a new company site.

The site is a hybrid of html, AJAX, and Flash which had to to an existing extranet for some content, provide deep linking, and be visually dynamic… so the technical challenges were great, but we’re very proud of the final outcome. I did a great deal of the Flash work throughout the site, along with a great team of designers and other developers.

I’ve been watching the daily videos at TED, lately.. gather all sorts of bits of motivation, encouragement and wisdom from simply listening to people talk about the things they’re passionate about, and their methods for pursuing those passions.  I heard Parkinson’s first law in todays talk, and immediately realized that it sums up one of my biggest productivity blocks.  Now that I’m aware of it, I plan on removing that block :)

Hopefully it’ll help you too, and I suggest you watch some of the talks at TED, they’re motivating, and often pretty funny.
