So, a little shameless self promotion/pat on the back..

Since I’ve been an engineer at Dell Kace (about a year and a half), I’ve been working on a new product, and it’s FINALLY been released!

The Dell Kace M300 is an asset management appliance for small/medium businesses. If you care more about the specifics, you should check out the link or watch this video.

So, I quit my job… :)

After 3 1/2 years at BFG I’ve decided to move on to something else… It’s been a great opportunity, and I wish them all the best as they continue to push the marketing industry!

For my next adventure, I’ll be taking the role of Senior Software Engineer, UI at Kace, and I couldn’t be more excited! They’ve got a great set of products and some even better stuff in the pipeline.

Also, it was announced today that Dell has purchased Kace! So, ACTUALLY, I’ll be taking a job at Dell, which is really cool as well!

I built all of the flash pieces for the site, including ad rotators, media players and image galleries.

New BFG site

I’m the VP and senior developer at BFG Interactive, the interactive division of BFG Communications, and we just recently launched a new company site.

The site is a hybrid of html, AJAX, and Flash which had to to an existing extranet for some content, provide deep linking, and be visually dynamic… so the technical challenges were great, but we’re very proud of the final outcome. I did a great deal of the Flash work throughout the site, along with a great team of designers and other developers.

Freelance: Design-A-Lighter for Flickyourbic.com

Thanks to my good friend Bmace I recently had the chance to build a Design-A-Lighter component for Bic

It was a short deadline and complicated build, but a ton of fun to do, and as always, I learned a lot.. Probably the coolest part of it, is looking through the gallery of lighters that people have made with a tool that I made.. it’s far more gratifying to build tools than it is to build marketing pieces.. however insignificant the “end product” is that the tool generates.
